October 24th Meeting

What can I say about our meeting on Monday night... other than I hope you were there!?! Our theme was "Positive Psychology" -- a truly welcome message for the beginning of the week. We witnessed a humorous from a brand-new Toastmaster (Vinod), a skilled business presentation from a well-versed member (Sanju), and Dean presented a module with all the right moves... a module about utilizing gestures properly in our speeches. Dennis challenged our Table Topics participants by posing questions about the fairness and equity of our tax system (a very light topic, huh?), and the answers really got us thinking! Our word of the day, "elucidate" (to clarify or explain) was also very popular, and our Big 3 and helpers really hit their roles out of the park. To sum up, no one had to elucidate why our meeting was not only enjoyable but inspiring and enlightening... it just was! :-)
