Preston Persuaders

I was thinking long and hard on how to summarize our contest updates from yesterday and this was the best I could come up with :-)

 

What an awesome contest that was

No one worried about win or loss

 

All contestants gave their best

Humorous speeches full of jest

 

Jeff, John, Iddah, Dave, Ron and Ben

All spoke of successful women and men

 

Sonja’s citation had us laughing out loud

Raghu’s frustration was shared by the crowd

 

Although Dave had us in splits on the dating phase

Todd’s hilarious “big idea” won him the first place!

 

Yes, it was an absolutely delightful evening.

 

Table topics winner was Jeff, Second place went to Iddah. Humorous Speech winner was Todd, second place went to Dave.

 

Congratulations to all the winners and all the participants!!!

Like Ferris mentioned in his invocation, everyone who competes is a winner :-)

The judges absolutely loved us and mentioned this was the best contest they have been to in the past few weeks :-) Needless to say we are all very proud of ourselves  :-)))

 

Although we would have loved to see more of our members present yesterday to support and enjoy the contest :-). Nevertheless the Area contest is this Friday (August 20th) and Todd and Jeff will be representing our club at the area level! What a proud moment for Preston Persuaders!
